Full or Part-time Goalies
Goalies in all age groups can elect to play in net either full-time or part-time.
Discount for full time goalies
Any goalie who plays 80% or more of all of their team’s games is eligible to have their registration fees refunded. Amounts will only be considered when all the goalie equipment signed out to the team has been returned. The league is expecting the goalie to take on this responsibility. (That is to ensure that the equipment is returned in relatively the same condition it was signed out in). A completed refund application must be received by the League Manager no later than the July 31st deadline. Refunds will be made by cheque to the individual who made the original payment. Reimbursement will be made no later than 3 weeks from the refund application receipt date.
Goalie equipment supplied by NSIHL
The NSIHL provides the following pads needed to play the position properly:
- chest protector
- glove
- blocker
- leg pads
In all age groups, goalie sticks are provided.
The equipment that each NSIHL goalie needs to bring with them to play the position:
- helmet with cage
- ice hockey pants
- jock
- skates
